ICRT 2026 — the International Conference on Radiopharmaceutical Therapy, organised under WARMTH — meets in Cairo from 23 to 26 September 2026 at the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis, under the theme "RadiotheraGnostics Without Borders: Integrating Science, Access and Culture".
The conference brings together the full radiotheranostics community: nuclear medicine physicians, clinical and medical oncologists, radiopharmacists, medical physicists, regulators and industry. Its central concern is equitable access to personalised radiopharmaceutical therapy worldwide — not only what is scientifically possible, but what can realistically be delivered in health systems with differing regulatory, supply-chain and reimbursement conditions.
Days one to three (23–25 September) are the scientific days. Sessions address theranostic pairs and radioligand therapy in prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumours and thyroid disease; emerging alpha-emitter therapies; dosimetry and treatment planning; radiopharmacy production, quality control and GMP requirements; isotope supply and regional production capacity; radiation protection and waste handling; and the regulatory pathways that govern approval and reimbursement in different jurisdictions. Case-based sessions and multidisciplinary tumour board formats connect the physics and radiochemistry back to patient selection and outcome.
The meeting builds directly on the momentum of the Egyptian Theranostics Summit 2025 and arrives at a significant point for Egypt's healthcare and nuclear medicine ecosystem, with Cairo positioned by the organisers as a crossroads between ancient civilisation and modern innovation — an intentional framing for a conference about bridging scientific excellence with cultural depth and human-centred care.
The fourth day, 26 September, is a touristic day running 09:00–18:00 with visits to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
