The 17th Emirates Diabetes & Endocrine Congress (EDEC 2027) will take place from 19 to 21 March 2027 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Organized by the Emirates Diabetes & Endocrine Society (EDES), the annual congress provides a regional meeting point for professionals working across diabetes and endocrine disease, bringing clinical education, scientific exchange and professional collaboration into a three-day setting.
The society describes EDEC as a platform for updates on recent advances in the changing field of diabetes and endocrinology. Its welcome message highlights lectures, expert sessions and product theatres, with a scientific committee developing the congress content. Detailed 2027 session times, workshop arrangements and the congress faculty roster have not yet been published on the agenda and faculty pages. The listing therefore distinguishes the announced congress from the previous edition’s educational materials rather than presenting older sessions as a confirmed 2027 program.
The intended audience extends beyond endocrinologists and diabetologists. Pediatric endocrinologists, internists, pediatricians, cardiologists, nephrologists, gynecologists, oncologists, family physicians and general practitioners are included, alongside clinical researchers, diabetes educators, nutritionists and other healthcare professionals. This breadth reflects the multidisciplinary nature of diabetes care and endocrine practice, where prevention, diagnosis, treatment and long-term follow-up involve several clinical disciplines.
A call for original research abstracts is open for oral or poster presentation. Submissions must be in English, contain completed original scientific work and use the online portal. The maximum abstract length is 500 words, with a 50-word biography of the presenting author. Structured research abstracts should include Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion, with Discussion optional; case reports use Introduction, Case Report and Conclusion. Citations are not permitted. The submission deadline is 30 November 2026, and acceptance notifications are scheduled for 31 December 2026. Presenters must register for the congress, and the scientific committee determines acceptance and presentation scheduling.
The official site currently retains a sponsor and exhibitor showcase explicitly labeled 2026. Those companies are not represented here as confirmed 2027 sponsors. Similarly, registration fees and an accreditation award are not assumed from prior years. Delegates should use the current registration and abstract pages for the latest announcements while the detailed 2027 scientific program is being completed.
