Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) hosts the International Congress on Healthy Ageing and Geriatric Rehabilitation 2026 (IC-HAGR 2026) from 29 to 31 October 2026 at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, Doha, Qatar. More than 1,000 in-person delegates are expected.

The congress puts healthy ageing and functional longevity at the centre of the discussion — adding not only years to life, but function, independence, resilience and quality to those years. It is chaired by Prof. Dr. Hanadi Khamis Al-Hamad, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation and Geriatrics at HMC, who describes the goal as a model of care centred on "Functional Longevity": helping people keep thinking, moving, participating, connecting, recovering and living with purpose as they age.

Call for abstracts
Abstracts and proposals for workshops, symposia and masterclasses are invited; the submission deadline is 30 September 2026. CME hours and registration fees have not yet been published.
