Nursing Fracture Fixation Bootcamp — 13 June 2026, 08:00 am – 05:30 pm at KFMC, Faculty of Medicine Building, 4th Floor, Surgical Skills Lab MC4-042, Riyadh. Goal: equip participants with the orthopedic knowledge, technical skills and clinical judgment needed to safely and effectively support fracture fixation procedures in alignment with AO principles. Objectives: describe basic anatomy of bone and physiological stages of bone healing; understand fracture fundamentals and classification systems; demonstrate understanding of AO principles by matching fixation methods to fracture patterns; apply radiation safety measures and protocols; interpret basic fracture X-rays for type and alignment; assess soft-tissue condition and fracture healing for surgical timing; prepare a complete perioperative plan (positioning, equipment, safety checks); identify, assemble and use orthopedic instruments and implants; anticipate surgeon needs during key steps; and demonstrate effective communication, teamwork and professional networking.
