The 6th Annual Saudi Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research Conference takes place on 6–7 December 2026 at InterContinental Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Organised by the Saudi Society for Pharmaceutical Economics and Health Outcomes (PEOR), with the ISPOR Saudi Arabia Chapter identified as brand partner, the meeting centres on “From Value to Reimbursement: Global Models in Capitation.” It brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers and decision-makers to examine how evidence about clinical and economic value can inform financing decisions and sustainable healthcare policy.
In alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s healthcare transformation, the conference focuses on value-based healthcare financing, health economics and health technology assessment (HTA). Its stated purpose is to connect scientific evidence with efficient resource allocation, improved patient outcomes and the development of sustainable health systems. The meeting also provides a setting for exchange between practitioners, academics, regulatory bodies, policymakers and industry representatives working across these areas.
Four announced discussion themes frame the conference. The first considers health economics in risk-adjusted capitation models. The second addresses real-world data and evidence for health outcomes. The third explores access and reimbursement for high-cost gene, cell and biologic therapies. The fourth examines risk-sharing agreements and rare-disease funding. Together, these topics connect the evaluation of healthcare interventions with practical questions about reimbursement, access and financing.
The organisers preview keynotes, panel discussions, specialised workshops and competitions over the two days. Student and abstract competitions are intended to recognise emerging talent and original research in pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research and HTA. However, the detailed scientific agenda, session timings, confirmed faculty, workshop details and competition opening dates and deadlines have not yet been published. No open abstract deadline or named scientific speaker is therefore claimed in this listing.
Registration is open through the official conference portal. Through 15 November 2026, professional registration is SAR 300 and student registration is SAR 50. From 16 November, the professional late/onsite rate is SAR 500, while the student rate remains SAR 50. The early-bird deadline is 23:59:59 Riyadh time on 15 November. The advertised starting price of SAR 50 applies specifically to students, not general professional registration. Confirmed event sponsors and approved CME/CPD hours have not been announced.
