The 21st National Medical Physics Congress (21. Ulusal Medikal Fizik Kongresi) will be held on 10–14 November 2027 at Ducale Lara, Antalya, Türkiye. It is organised by the Turkish Medical Physics Association (Medikal Fizik Derneği), which has run the national congress without interruption for about 40 years.
"A Touch of Medical Physics for the Future"
The congress brings together the scientific expertise of medical physics, current technologies and forward-looking approaches. The association invites medical physicists, physicians, academics, young colleagues and industry representatives to a meeting where knowledge, experience and different disciplines come together to discuss the profession today, shape its future and open new collaborations.
Scientific scope
The programme is expected to span:
- Radiotherapy physics — treatment planning, IMRT/VMAT, SBRT/SRS, adaptive and MR-guided radiotherapy, plan complexity and quality assurance
- Dosimetry — calibration protocols, small-field and patient dosimetry
- Nuclear medicine physics — PET/CT, PET/MR and dosimetry for radionuclide therapy
- Diagnostic radiology physics — CT, DR, fluoroscopy and MRI quality control and patient dose
- Radiation protection and safety
- Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in imaging and radiotherapy
Past editions
The 20th congress was held on 6–9 November 2025 in Kuşadası, Aydın, and earlier editions took place in Dalaman, Antalya and Istanbul. They featured national and international speakers and industry exhibitions from radiotherapy and imaging vendors.

Medical physicists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists, radiotherapy technologists, physics engineers, researchers and graduate students.
